Keeping your payment information current ensures uninterrupted Price Clicker service. Whether you're adding a new card, switching your default payment method, or resolving a failed charge, everything is managed from Account → Subscription. Price Clicker uses Stripe for PCI-compliant payment processing—your full card number is never stored on our servers.
How to Update Your Payment Method
Add or change cards from the Subscription page:
- Log into app.priceclicker.com
- Go to Account → Subscription (
/account/subscription) - Scroll to the Payment Methods section
- Click Add Card and enter your card details in the secure Stripe form
- Click Set Default on the card you want used for renewals (if you have multiple cards saved)
Changes take effect immediately. Your next renewal charges the default card on file. You'll receive email confirmation when a new card is saved successfully.
Security Note
Price Clicker never stores your full card number. We use Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, to securely handle all payment data. Your card details are encrypted and tokenized immediately upon entry.
Accepted Payment Methods
Price Clicker accepts all major credit and debit cards through Stripe:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Discover
- Diners Club
- JCB
We currently don't accept PayPal, bank transfers, checks, or cryptocurrency. All payments must be made via credit or debit card. International cards are accepted as long as they're enabled for online international transactions.
Resolving Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, or bank decline), Price Clicker sends an email notification. Update your default card on the Subscription page as soon as possible to avoid interruption to your subscription and active profiles.
Common Reasons for Failed Payments
- Expired card: Check the expiration date on your default card
- Insufficient funds: Ensure adequate balance or credit limit for the subscription charge
- Card declined: Your bank may block the charge—contact them to authorize Stripe/Price Clicker payments
- Billing address mismatch: Enter the address associated with your card in the Stripe form
- International card restrictions: Some cards require online or international purchases to be enabled
If Payment Remains Unresolved
While a payment issue is open, add a working card and set it as default. If your subscription lapses, active profiles may stop accepting new quote requests until billing is restored. Past lead data is retained—renew or update payment to regain full access.
Updating Billing Address
Your billing address should match the address associated with your payment card. Mismatches can cause payment failures. Enter or update it when adding a card through the Stripe form on Account → Subscription.
The billing address appears on invoices in your Billing History section. It must match your card's registered billing address for payment authorization.
Payment Security and Privacy
Price Clicker takes payment security seriously:
- PCI DSS Compliant: We use Stripe, which maintains PCI DSS Level 1 certification—the highest security standard for payment processors.
- Encrypted Transmission: All payment data is transmitted over TLS 1.2+ encrypted connections.
- Tokenization: Your full card number is never stored on Price Clicker servers. Stripe converts it to a secure token immediately.
- No Price Clicker Access: Price Clicker staff cannot view your full card number, CVV, or any sensitive payment details.
- Secure Storage: Only the last 4 digits and card brand are stored for display purposes.
When you enter payment information, you're directly communicating with Stripe's servers through an embedded secure form. Price Clicker never sees or handles your actual card data—only the secure token Stripe provides after successful validation.
Viewing Payment History
Access billing history from Account → Subscription → Billing History. You can:
- View past charges with dates, amounts, and status
- See failed payment attempts
- Track plan changes and prorated charges
Successful charges also trigger email receipts with the amount charged, payment method used (last 4 digits), and plan details.
Troubleshooting Payment Updates
Card Won't Save
If your card update fails, common causes include:
- Incorrect card number or expiration date
- CVV mismatch
- Card not yet activated (for new cards)
- Card restricted for online international transactions
- Browser blocking the secure form (disable ad blockers)
Try a different card or contact your bank to authorize the charge. If issues persist, contact Price Clicker support with details of the error message.
Old Card Still Charging
If your old card is being charged despite adding a new one, verify which card is marked Default under Payment Methods on Account → Subscription. Set your preferred card as default—changes apply to the next charge.
Conclusion
Keeping your payment information current is simple and takes only a minute or two. Regular updates prevent service interruptions and ensure you never lose access to Price Clicker during critical business periods. Set calendar reminders to check your saved card's expiration date quarterly, especially if you use cards that expire soon.
Payment issues are almost always preventable with proactive management. Update expiring cards a month before they expire, ensure your bank allows international online purchases, and keep your billing address current. These small steps guarantee uninterrupted service and peace of mind.
